Docking Bay 6 – Under New Management

While visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge recently, we noticed that there was some new theming at Docking Bay 6 in Batuu. As you may recall, Docking Bay 6 was previously referred to as Docking Bay 3 when it served as a shuttle port to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience. A couple of months ago, the area was renamed. Now, a new banner flies over the docking bay.

Docking Bay 6 Taken Over by the First Order

Here’s a look back at Docking Bay 6 before the arrival of the new First Order banner.

The new First Order banner mirrors another banner found to the right of the TIE Echelon ship parked nearby. The banners firmly establish the First Order’s grip on this corner of Black Spire Outpost as they search for Rey after hearing whispers that the force user may be wandering in the area.

Inside, Docking Bay 6 remains open for guests to sit and relax. Disney PhotoPass continues to use it as the headquarters for the Capture Your Moment check-in area.

While there have been some recent changes to this area of Black Spire Outpost, there are no story changes planned for the Hollywood Studios version of the Star Wars land. Out in Anaheim, Disneyland has fully committed to abandoning the strict timeline established by Walt Disney Imagineering during the creation of the billion-dollar land.
