A new pilot program launched today, allowing Travel Agents to book Walt Disney World Private VIP Tours as an add-on to vacation packages. This allows guests using a Travel Agent to see their entire vacation in one place and as one package. It’s unclear if this pilot program will eventually extend to guests booking their own vacations or not. Here’s the latest.
Disney VIP Tours Now Bookable as Vacation Package Add-On
Starting today, travel advisors can now book VIP Tours as an add-on to vacation packages as part of a special pilot program. This functionality is not available to normal guests using the Walt Disney World website yet. It’s unclear if or when this functionality may be available for all guests.
Currently, guests wishing to book a VIP Tour at Walt Disney World would need to call to make a reservation.
In addition to being able to book a VIP Tour as a vacation package add-on, Walt Disney World has extended the booking window to beyond the standard 60 days in advance. It’s unclear how far in advance a VIP Tour can be reserved during the pilot program, but it is presumably under the same policy as your vacation package.
Beginning today, travel advisors can book Walt Disney World Private VIP Tours as an add-on to Walt Disney Travel Company packages as part of a special pilot program! Now clients can have their vacation in one place, as one package. This new feature allows clients to reserve their tour date more than 60 days in advance.
We have been fortunate enough to experience a VIP Tour before, and it is a magical experience. From private, backstage transportation to “efficient attraction entry” (typically entry through the Lightning Lane), a VIP Tour offers a frictionless way to experience a day at the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Prices currently range from $450 to $950 per hour, with a minimum of 7 hours and a maximum of 10 hours allowed. Your VIP Tour may include up to 10 guests, including yourself and any infants. Valid theme park admission is required for each theme park visited on the tour and is not included in the price of the tour.
Guests looking to save some money on a VIP Tour can take advantage of discounts through early October 2026. Back in February, Walt Disney World announced a 20% discount on VIP Tours for guests staying at Club Level hotel rooms. By March, Disney had extended that 20% off offer to Disney Vacation Club Members.
VIP Tours has faced some competition since the launch of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass offering back in October 2024. For guests who simply care about riding everything at a theme park one time, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass comes at a lower price than a VIP Tour. That said, Lightning Lane Premier Pass is limited to a single theme park per day, whereas a VIP Tour has access to all four Walt Disney World theme parks (and beyond).
A VIP Tour is much more than running from ride to ride (even though that is a part of it). VIP Tours are a fully hosted, thoughtfully planned, personalized theme park experience. Some of our favorite moments on the tours that we’ve been a part of have been picking the brain of the VIP Tour guide and hearing some insider stories about the theme parks that we love so much. Of course, this happens in tandem with running around the parks, but it’s one of those intangible moments that make VIP Tours so memorable.
If I had to guess, this new pilot program will eventually be accessible to all guests as the VIP Tours department likely looks to increase visibility and decrease reservation friction.
