Disney World Confirms Crews Cup Reopening Date as Yachtsman Steakhouse Prepares to Close

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is about to experience a notable one-two punch this weekend, as Crew’s Cup Lounge and Yachtsman Steakhouse essentially swap places on the resort’s dining availability calendar. Here’s the latest, which confirms our earlier speculation.

Crews Cup Reopening Date Confirmed, Yachtsman Steakhouse Closing

Crew’s Cup Lounge, which closed on February 23 as part of a multi-month refurbishment, is now showing a reopening of 4:00pm on Sunday, May 10, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The timing makes for an interesting moment at the Yacht Club, because Yachtsman Steakhouse will close the very next day, May 11, for its own refurbishment, with the Walt Disney World website showing the restaurant closed through at least July 7th.

That aligns with the original construction timeline, which has Yachtsman Steakhouse expected to reopen sometime in August 2026.

A Refreshed Lounge, With Some Menu Changes
The returning menu at Crew’s Cup Lounge drops scotches and cognacs but adds wine and non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Fans of the lounge will be glad to know that some Yachtsman Steakhouse favorites will be available next door during the steakhouse’s closure.

During the closure, guests can grab Yachtsman Steakhouse options at Crew’s Cup Lounge, including the Lobster Bisque for $19, Caesar Salad for $16, and the Yachtsman Signature Bread for $8.

Yachtsman Heads Into Refurbishment
It is not yet known what this refurbishment will entail, or whether it will include new menu items. That said, Walt Disney World describes the Yachtsman Steakhouse closure as a “refresh”, and not a simple refurbishment.

It’s possible that the closure will introduce a new look for the restaurant. We most recently had a lovely meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse back in October, and I remarked that the space felt cozy and warm – something of a rarity for modern Walt Disney World restaurants.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is also undergoing exterior maintenance through late 2026, which will affect views throughout the resort and, at times, require alternate paths of travel.
