WHAT HAPPENED WITH REGISTRATION

Registration for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend was scheduled to open Tuesday, but registration never opened. Runners who spent the day monitoring the site and runDisney social accounts were left waiting as the day passed without an opening. runDisney acknowledged the situation directly in a statement Tuesday evening, saying the day “didn’t go as planned.”

runDisney confirmed that any website changes spotted by runners Tuesday evening were not the start of registration. “You may notice some changes on the website this evening, but registration has not started,” the statement read.

To our runDisney family, we know today didn’t go as planned, and we appreciate everyone who has been waiting with us. We are still working to finalize a new registration date and time for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. You may notice some changes on the website this evening, but registration has not started.

We want to reassure everyone that we will communicate the new date and time at least 24 hours before registration opens. We don’t have those details to share just yet, and registration won’t take place this week. We’ll share another update by 8:00 PM ET tomorrow evening on runDisney social accounts.

We appreciate your patience and continued excitement for race weekend.

WHAT RUNNERS NEED TO KNOW

runDisney has committed to two specific things going forward. First, a new registration date and time will be communicated at least 24 hours before registration opens. Second, an update will be posted by 8:00pm ET Wednesday evening on runDisney social accounts.

Critically, runDisney confirmed registration will not take place this week, meaning runners can stop monitoring the site for now.

A finalized registration date is still being worked out, according to the statement. runDisney has not shared additional details on what caused the disruption or what changes are being made ahead of the rescheduled opening.

We will continue to monitor runDisney social accounts and update as the new registration date is confirmed.
