We stopped by EPCOT earlier today and found water flowing again at the fountain in front of Spaceship Earth. The circular water feature had sat dry for several days. It’s now back to its usual look, with water running down the diamond-patterned centerpiece surface again. Here’s a look from our visit.

Well, Well, Well… The Water Returns
The fountain sits at the base of Spaceship Earth, between the walkways that lead into the park from EPCOT’s main entrance. Three tall acrylic pylons rise from the center of the basin, each bearing the park’s classic logo. Water now runs continuously down from the pylons and across the diamond-patterned centerpiece.
There doesn’t appear to be any visual change to the fountain compared to before the water shut off. That is, there is still a reddish-brown patina across the surface. The diamond-patterned centerpiece looks the same as it did when it was running previously. That suggests the dry spell wasn’t tied to a surface-level refurbishment. Also, coins remain in the basin, suggesting that the stop in flow wasn’t to collect the change. It’s more likely there was some kind of issue with the water system, though that remains unconfirmed.
The fountain has long served as a popular photo backdrop for guests entering EPCOT, with Spaceship Earth looming behind it. With the water running again, the fountain has returned to its usual state.
