Disney says the livestream is for “the official reveal that will share all the details” about the ship. The October 7th date was announced back in July, and this announcement adds the topics the broadcast will cover. Four topics made the list:

- and more!
The announcement does not mention staterooms or dining, though past ship reveals have covered both. It also does not give a specific debut date, only that Disney expects the ship in 2027.

What Disney Has Already Shared About the Ship
Disney’s announcement recaps the character reveals from D23. Moana and her friends greet guests in the Grand Hall, Woody and Buzz adorn the back of the ship, and Tinker Bell brings a touch of pixie dust to the bow. We covered each one when Disney announced the bow, stern, and Grand Hall characters.
The Grand Hall centerpiece is a bronze cast statue of Moana, with Pua and Heihei at her side. On the stern, Woody and Buzz color in the ship’s name with crayons, and we took a closer look at the sculpt models on display at D23 Expo. Disney announced the ship’s name in March as the ninth ship in the fleet and the fourth in the Wish class.
Where Construction Stands
The Disney Believe is under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Shipbuilders completed the first of three gigablocks on September 18th and floated it out of the shipyard. That section holds the midship, including the Grand Hall.
Meyer Werft will build the forward portion next, followed by the aft section. Crews will then join all three gigablocks to form the hull, and outfitting continues from there toward the ship’s expected debut in late 2027.
