A cold front moves into Central Florida this weekend, and Walt Disney World is getting its real first taste of fall this year. Today’s high is 89 degrees, but the forecast drops to a high of 79 on Saturday and 78 on Sunday. Next week’s highs stay between 77 and 80, with morning lows falling into the low 60s by Wednesday.

Summer heat is still hanging on right now. It is 83 degrees at Walt Disney World, feels like 88, and the afternoon is on track to top out at 89 around 3:00pm. Friday stays warm at 87 before the weekend change arrives.

Rain is the one catch with this front. Friday has a 65% chance, Saturday climbs to 85%, and Sunday eases to 45%, so ponchos belong in the bag for the parks. The payoff is a drop of about 10 degrees, with Saturday’s high at 79 and Sunday’s at 78. Saturday’s low is 68, and Sunday’s is 65, compared with 71 today.

Next Week Stays About 10 Degrees Below Today

The cooler pattern holds through the “work” week. Highs from Monday through Friday average about 79 degrees, roughly 10 below today’s 89, and the daily numbers look like this:

  • Monday, October 19: 80 high, 66 low, 40% chance of rain (9 degrees below today’s high)
  • Tuesday, October 20: 79 high, 63 low, 35% chance of rain (10 degrees below)
  • Wednesday, October 21: 80 high, 61 low, sunny (9 degrees below)
  • Thursday, October 22: 77 high, 61 low, sunny (12 degrees below)
  • Friday, October 23: 78 high, 61 low, sunny (11 degrees below)

Mornings cool off as much as afternoons. Today’s low is 71, while lows next week fall from 66 on Monday to 63 on Tuesday and 61 from Wednesday through Friday. Sunshine returns Wednesday and stays through Friday, and Saturday, October 24th, holds at 78 with a 61 low.

Fall Weather Fits Halloween Party Nights and Food & Wine

Cooler air arrives in time for more Halloween party nights at Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns Friday, October 16th, and Sunday, October 18th, and again on October 22nd and 23rd next week. Friday’s 65% chance of rain is the biggest weather factor this weekend. Sunday sits at 45%, and next week’s Thursday and Friday nights fall in the sunny stretch.

At EPCOT, the Food & Wine Festival continues through November 21st. The full list of 2026 menus has plenty of warm options for cooler days. Milled & Mulled serves a Butternut Squash and Ginger Bisque for $5.49, and Forest & Field has a Spicy Black Bean-Mushroom Chili for $5.99. The Alps offers Tartiflette for $5.49. Wednesday through Friday add sunshine to the cooler numbers, which sets up comfortable afternoons for walking World Showcase.
