While that’s the headline change, the ABC taping reshuffles more than one entertainment offering along the way. Festival of Fantasy sits out both days, and Disney’s schedule shows some Main Street entertainment trimmed or missing. The evening fireworks and nighttime parade stay on the calendar, so the biggest changes happen before dark. Magic Kingdom Entertainment Changes for the ABC Holiday Parade Taping on November 10th and 11th

Walt Disney World added two daytime performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at 2:00pm, and those dates line up with the annual ABC holiday special taping. We covered the taping dates when they first appeared. Disney’s entertainment schedule for both days now shows how the rest of the lineup shifts around the parade and taping.
Of course, Festival of Fantasy is the biggest swap, with no performances on either day. The Christmas parade fills the 2:00pm slot instead. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade usually rolls down Main Street USA only after dark for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party guests, so day guests get a rare look without a party ticket.
Several smaller performances shift around it. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire swaps to two showings on the 10th and four on the 11th, down from its usual five. The Dapper Dans have no listed performances on the 10th, and the group loses only its 2:55pm set on the 11th. Casey’s Corner Pianist drops from seven sets to three on the 10th and six on the 11th. The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade has no listed time on the 10th, though its 11:05am showing stays on the 11th.

These entertainment changes are a balance between offering some semblance of normalcy for guests who have long been planning to visit Magic Kingdom these days and the ABC taping schedule. The 10th has the heavier cuts, so the 11th looks like the better day to catch the performers.
What Stays on the Schedule
Evening entertainment looks familiar. Happily Ever After fireworks stay at 8:00pm on both nights, and Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away performs at 6:45pm and 9:00pm. Frozen Holiday Surprise is also shown at 6:15pm.
When the Taped Parade Airs
ABC airs The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular on Monday, November 30th, and the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade follows on Friday, December 25th, at 10:00am Eastern. The Holiday Spectacular still has no announced host or performers, but Disney will release more info as we get closer to the air dates.
Frontierland and Liberty Square should offer the best odds of a parade viewing along the route, though crowds will certainly be elevated. We recommend checking the entertainment schedule the morning of your visit for any last-minute adjustments.
