runDisney, Disney’s own branch of themed races of various lengths, has taken to social media to tease “run”derful news! It is believed that runDisney will announce the return of races to the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort in 2022, perhaps starting with the Walt Disney World Marathon.
In-person runDisney races have been suspended since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, runDisney has offered virtual races, but fans have been clamoring for a return of races to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
