Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to Start Earlier Than Ever This August?

According to internal park hours, Disney has scheduled 6pm closings at Magic Kingdom for the following dates in August:

    • August 17th
    • August 21st
    • August 24th
    • August 28th
    • August 31st

The 6pm close on August 17th is now visible on Disney’s public calendar, and other dates should be revealed as the rolling calendar dates are loaded in.

A 6pm closing on the calendar in the Fall months generally points to a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that evening. Disney moved to a 6pm close of Magic Kingdom park on party nights last year. In years prior, Magic Kingdom would close at 7pm.

It’s notable that every day that the park closes at 6pm in August, there is either an Early Morning Magic special ticketed event or morning Extra Magic Hours for resort guests. The average guest will have from 9am to 6pm before the park closes to hard-ticketed party guests.

In addition to the currently scheduled 6pm closings in August, here’s a list of the currently scheduled 6pm closings in September:

    • 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30

Hours are not yet available for October.

As always, these numbers are preliminary and not officially published by Disney yet. That said, internal information is a good indicator of what Disney is planning for the coming months.

Last year, Disney announced dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in early April.

    1. It seems like they just keep moving the dates up more and more every year. I wonder what the reasoning is behind that. At some point, the dates are going to start creeping towards July. Getting too early in my opinion.
