Disney Quietly Changes Upcoming Star Tours Destination for 2024 Update

The Disney Parks Blog has quietly changed the announced destination for an upcoming Star Tours update. As previously announced, Star Tours will be updated on April 5th with all-new experiences featuring characters and locations from the newer Disney+ Star Wars series – “Ahsoka,” “Andor,” and “The Mandalorian.”

The original announcement from Scott Trowbridge (Portfolio Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering) said that guests would be visiting the ancient world of Peridea. In a quiet update to the post, the destination has been changed to Seatos.

The change was noticed by Twitter user Joe Schreiber and confirmed by Brooke Geiger McDonald.

Here’s how Star Wars describes each of the locations:

    Peridea

An ancient world, Peridea is the home of the Dathomirian ancestors in the far galaxy. It is a world spoken of in fragmented records in the Jedi Archives, which describes it as the terminus of a migration route for pods of purrgil traversing the void between galaxies. And it is here that Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn have been exiled.

    Seatos

The world of Seatos boasts a lush landscape dominated by red forests and vast oceans. Along one coastal outcropping, a cliffside henge has been erected as a reflex point to uncover the secrets of an ancient star map.
