Thanks to expert permit spotter danlb_2000, we now know of plans filed this morning with the South Florida Water Management District for a new ride at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. The ride is described in the permit as a ‘Family Raft Ride’. Here’s a rough look at how the ride will fit into the park. The ride path is outlined in yellow.
As you can see above, the new ride wouldn’t take away from current land, but rather build on unused land. A closer look at the layout as determined by the foundations in the permit.
Disney is yet to announce any plans, but with construction moving along at Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay, it’s fair to say that Disney will be looking to keep their water parks on guests minds going into 2017.
