Yesterday marked the first day that Mobile Order was available for use at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar, and we were on hand to give it a try.
Mobile Order allows you to place an order at select Quick Service restaurants via the My Disney Experience app and skip the line.
A menu is displayed based on the time of day and what meal the specific restaurant is serving at that time.
If there are options to customize your meal, you’ll be able to make them within the app.
You’re asked to review your order before placing it.
You can pay with the credit card you have on file with My Disney Experience or use a different card. Paying with Meal Plan credits isn’t an option at this time.
When you’ve completed your purchase, you are taken to a screen that asks you to press a button only once you’ve reached the restaurant.
You can cancel your order should you want to.
It’s important that you only press the “I’m Here” button when you’re actually at the restaurant. Your food is plated shortly after you confirm that you’ve arrived and if you press it before you’re ready to pickup in the restaurant, your food could get cold.
Satu’li Canteen has a specific section of the pickup area that allows you to bypass all of the lines and directly pickup your meal.
We loved the whole Mobile Order process. It was extremely easy to navigate the app and even customize our order. Our meal was ready almost instantly when we pressed the “I’m Here” button and being able to bypass the line was wonderful. You can actually place the order hours ahead of time (but on the same day), and pick it up when you’re ready. While this review took place at Satu’li Canteen, other Quick Service restaurants will be utilizing the service in the future.
The app currently doesn’t have the ability to completely customize your meal should you need special accommodations for allergies or other sensitivities.
