Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Full 360° Virtual Reality Experience (Queue, Pre-Show, Empty Ride, and Exit)

We just got back from our trip to Batuu and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland! From rope dropping to be some of the first guests into the land, to staying late to be some of the last guests out, we had a very busy few days in the streets of Black Spire Outpost. We’ve been watching the construction of Disney’s largest-ever expansion from the days of the Backlot Tour demolition, through to our latest aerial tour of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios construction site. Through it all, you have been with us every step of the way, so we thought what better way to take you with us to the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge than with a 360° Virtual Reality Experience? We have a lot of content that we’re still sifting through, but we wanted our first virtual reality experience to be of the only attraction open in the land right now – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Queue Entrance and Pre-Show

You enter Ohnaka Transport Solutions to the left of the parked Millennium Falcon. A gradual climb up through a huge maintenance bay eventually puts you on the second floor of the building, overlooking the Falcon. A pre-show featuring Hondo Ohnaka takes place before you walk down a jetway, and eventually board the Millennium Falcon directly into the chess room.

Chess Room

In the Chess Room, guests have only a few minutes to take everything in. When we visited at the end of the night there was only one other group in the room, but it can get quite busy.

Full Ride!

We were lucky enough to secure a solo flight at the end of the night to give you a completely empty full ride on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run!

Exit Queue

After your flight, everyone eventually makes it to the same exit hallway. Our walk was one of the longest you can have, passing through a few different themed areas before finally exiting through a vent to the left of the entrance.

We’ll have more content from the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for you in the coming days, so keep checking back with for continued coverage of Batuu!
