Epcot Entrance Construction Update (New Futuristic Light Posts, Pathways Take Shape, and More)

|

We made it out to Epcot today and noticed some more progress on the entrance overhaul project. As you may remember, the project started back in April and has made quite a bit of progress in the past five months. Here’s a walkthrough of the construction site.

As we walk up the Epcot monorail station ramp, we can see new walkways taking shape.

Here’s a reverse look at the photo above.

Work on the new tram drop off area is progressing nicely, with curbs popping up since our last update.

Here’s a better look at the walkways taking shape to the east of the monorail station.

As far as noticable new work, there is even more concrete poured to the west of the Epcot monorail station. We can even see some new light posts installed in the area.

Disney has not given an end date for the project, but we anticipate the new area to open before the end of the year.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to monitor the work taking place around Epcot!
