As we get more information about the 2020 refurbishment landscape, we have new information about the status of the Walt Disney World Railroad. As of publish time, internal calendars have indicated that the Walt Disney World Railroad will be closed through at least October 2020.

As you might be aware, the Walt Disney World Railroad system has been closed since December 3, 2018 as TRON Lightcycle Run construction takes place across the tracks in Tomorrowland.

As part of the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster work in Tomorrowland, the railroad tracks have been removed in Tomorrowland. Eventually, the train will return, and it will run through a tunnel as seen in the latest concept art of the area.

There is no announced reopening date for the Walt Disney World Railroad, but stick with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest coverage of the Disney Parks.
