As we wrote last Saturday, a portion of the north loop of the Magic Kingdom bus load zone is now cordoned off for construction. While visiting Magic Kingdom today, we took a look at the latest work, which mainly consists of erected construction walls and some cuts to the concrete to aid with the upcoming demolition. Here’s a look at the work, from east to west.
It looks like foot traffic could be rerouted in the coming days to accomodate some of the demolition.
Here’s a look at the section of the loop that will be demolished and made smaller.
The smaller loop (seen in the permit below), will allow for an even greater expansion of the bus transportation security screening area. Here’s a before and after image from the permit.
