Latest Look at New Bag Check Structure at Epcot (February 2020)

Disney is still working on expanding and improving upon the Epcot arrival experience as the park goes through massive changes. A new bag check area opened to the west of the Epcot monorail station back in October, but the east side still remains a construction zone. Earlier today, we made a lap around the Epcot monorail loop to check out the latest progress on a variety of projects, starting with the new bag check structure.

Here’s a look around the area, including a view of the new walkway being formed that use to be a tram lane. Two new tram lanes have been created to accommodate for the bag check taking place further away from the park entrances.

No word on when the new bag check structure will open, but it looks to be coming along nicely. It’s possible that it could even open this month.

    1. I hope that green fencing to the right of the entrance isn’t permanent, unless they are going to put it completely behind foliage like the fencing on West side. Ugly to watch all of this construction in progress, but will be nice when it is done.

    2. New Animal Kingdom bag check is well under construction, too. We were there Saturday and you could see the structure.
