Permits Filed for Gutting of Stitch’s Great Escape at Magic Kingdom

Disney has recently filed a permit to demolish the interior of the Stitch’s Great Escape show building at Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney Imagineering requested the permit and Hoar Construction was granted the work. The permit simply calls for “Demo Interior” for an address used in previous permits as the Stitch’s Great Escape building address.

Right now, Stitch’s Great Escape is listed as a “Seasonal” attraction on the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app, but this permit appears to be another nail in the coffin for what is a long-overdue official announcement that the attraction won’t reopen.

Of course, leaked photos from inside the attraction already seemingly confirm that it won’t be returning.
