With Florida entering a “Phase 1” reopening on Monday, May 4th, Disney has sent a pop-up notification to users of the My Disney Experience app reminding them that Disney Springs is currently included in the Walt Disney World closures.
As you might know, restaurant and retail locations will begin to reopen in most Florida counties beginning May 4th per an order from Governor Ron DeSantis. Restaurants and retail locations will be able to operate up to 25% indoor capacity and unlimited outdoor capacity with social distancing.
Many Disney fans have wondered if some of the third-party locations within Disney Springs will be included in the May 4th phased reopening. While Disney has yet to make a public comment on the Phase 1 reopening and what it might mean to the parks and resorts, the My Disney Experience pop-up should answer the question as of this moment. We anticipate hearing more from Disney next week, but possibly not before the May 4th “Phase 1” date.
Here’s a look at the pop-up from the My Disney Experience app:
Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed until further notice which still includes Disney Springs being closed for all Guests at this time.
As of publish time, the Disney theme parks remain closed indefinitely.
