Latest Look at Cinderella Castle Repainting, Including Aerial Photos

Perhaps the most high-profile project to resume at Walt Disney World is the repainting of Cinderella Castle. The Magic Kingdom icon is getting a new coat of paint that will transform it into a “Rose Pink” in honor of Cinderella’s 70th anniversary.

While the project came to a halt when the theme parks closed back in March, we were the first to spot that work resumed earlier this month, including the Castle repaint! Today, we were able to spot more work taking place on Cinderella Castle. Take a look at the latest progress in the photos below and keep reading for a look at the work from the skies over Magic Kingdom!

This angle shows the front of Cinderella Castle in the shade, and the Tomorrowland side of the castle basked in sunlight.

Continuing our way around the Tomorrowland side, we can get a clearer idea of what the current color looks like in direct sunlight.

Perhaps our best look came from the east side of the Castle, essentially showing the Tomorrowland side straight on.

Here’s what this side of Cinderella Castle looked like before the parks closed…

…and what it looks like today.

And, as promised, some aerial photos of Cinderella Castle as it stood a few days ago courtesy of @bioreconstruct.

At this point, it looks like Disney is pushing hard to get this project completed before Magic Kingdom opens on July 11th, but they haven’t disclosed an end date.

    1. Honestly, I don’t care what it looks like…I just want to be able to go there and see it!

    2. It is in progress so it’s tough to say what the final product will look like- but right now it’s like calamine lotion pink LOL
