Disney World Opens More Theme Park Access for Cast Members on Slowest Days of the Week

Disney World has opened up more theme park access for its Cast Members, but only on the slowest days of the week. According to the Cast Member blockout page, Disney has unblocked Cast Member admissions for September 8-10.

As we explored in an earlier article discussing how busy the parks were on the weekends, the middle of the week is the time to visit for the lowest crowds and wait times. In some cases, a visit on Saturday versus a visit on Wednesday represents anywhere from 50% to a whopping 146% increase in wait times. To that end, Disney has strategically unblocked Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for Cast Members, a trend that we expect to continue as long as demand for a theme park vacation remains as low as it is.

As might be expected, Disney’s Hollywood Studios remains blocked out for Cast Members.

Disney also recently released a bunch of Annual Passholder theme park reservations for September and October.

As you may know, Disney World is shortening their theme park hours on September 8th, and keeping those shortened hours through at least November 14th.
