As we continue to keep an eye on wait times across Walt Disney World, we wanted to put together a weekly recap of wait times at the theme parks. Here’s the week in review, from Monday, November 2nd through Sunday, November 8th. Data courtesy of @wdwwait.
Animal Kingdom
Wait times ticked back up at Disney’s Animal Kingdom after two weeks of decreases. For the week ending November 8th, Disney’s Animal Kingdom had an average wait of 28.2 minutes, up from 21.1 minutes last week.
Saturday’s average of nearly 36 minutes marks the highest single-day average in over 2 weeks – not a great time to visit. With 4 out of 7 days beating the average, a visit on Tuesday or Wednesday remains your best option.
Best days to visit: Wednesday, Friday (backup: Tuesday)
EPCOT
Wait times were also up at EPCOT, although less significantly than Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The average wait time at EPCOT for the week ending November 8th was 23.1 minutes. Not a huge bump over the 22.2 minute average from a week prior. The middle of the week is the best time to visit.
Best days to visit: Wednesday, Tuesday (backup: Thursday)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Ah, Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney World’s most popular park as measured by Park Pass reservations splits the difference in percentage increase between EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For the week ending November 8th, Hollywood Studios had an average wait time of 41.9 minutes, up from 36.4 minutes last week.
The weekend remains a decent target, although we’d favor Sunday over Saturday. Wednesday also remains a good day to target based on the past two weeks of data. If the choice is to hit up Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom in the middle of the week, we’d still favor DAK when considering how much worse the “best” and “worse” times to visit animals are. Not as significant of a swing for Hollywood Studios.
Best days to visit: Sunday, Wednesday (backup: Thursday)
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom also sees an increase in wait times similar to what we saw at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, percentage-wise.
Magic Kingdom had an average wait time of 25.3 minutes this past week, compared to 22.3 minutes the week prior. Not too terrible of an increase and still tracking lower than some weeks in October.
Best days to visit: Wednesday, Thursday (backup: Tuesday)
Finally, we’ll take a look at the average wait times across all four theme parks, by day:
- Monday, November 2 – 30.9 minutes
- Tuesday, November 3 – 27.2 minutes
- Wednesday, November 4 – 24.3 minutes
- Thursday, November 5 – 26.6 minutes
- Friday, November 6 – 30.1 minutes
- Saturday, November 7 – 36.5 minutes
- Sunday, November 8 – 31.7 minutes
Here are the spreads for the lowest and highest averages for each park:
- Animal Kingdom – 40% difference between Wednesday and Saturday
- EPCOT – 49% difference between Tuesday and Saturday
- Hollywood Studios – 17% difference between Sunday and Monday
- Magic Kingdom – 48% difference between Wednesday and Saturday
