Disneyland Hotels No Longer Taking New Reservations

With news that Disneyland has broken from their typical rolling reservation cancelations and taken the step to cancel all reservations through the end of 2020, guests are no longer able to book a new hotel reservation at any of the Disneyland hotels.

The Disneyland website only had dates listed through the end of the year, but with the announcement that Disneyland would be cancelling any 2020 reservations, making a new reservation isn’t possible at this time. This is just the latest signal from Disneyland that they’re hunkering down for what will be a long winter. Guidelines from California Governor Gavin Newsom have been called a “Keep Theme Parks Closed Indefinitely” plan, as they place theme parks in the final economic reopening stage for the state. Local health officials say that the state guidelines could keep Disneyland closed until summer 2021 or later.

Just yesterday, Disneyland President Ken Potrock announced another round of furloughs hitting just about every level of Disneyland operations.

Disney has repeatedly pushed back against the idea that they can’t operate their theme parks in the current COVID-19 outlook in a safe manner, but it has not swayed the position of Governor Newsom, who appears to have the final word in the matter at the moment.
