Main Street USA Railroad Station Behind Scrims as Disney Begins Refurbishment

After sitting closed for years, Disney has decided to begin what appears to be an exterior refurbishment of the Main Street USA railroad station at Magic Kingdom. It’s a bit baffling why this refurbishment is taking place now, when Magic Kingdom will be welcoming guests for the busy holiday season, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Here’s a look at the station, which is behind a plain brown scrim at the moment. It’s likely that a themed scrim will arrive shortly should the refurbishment take some time.

Disney has not given an estimated date of completion at this time.

  1. They have to finish that stupid coaster first. Dear Disney, you’re not an amusement park, enough with the roller coasters! Might as well have a guy guessing your weight and a ring-the-bell game. I’ve grown old waiting to ride that damn train.
