According to permits filed with the state, Disney is working on a few of their live entertainment performance venues at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While the permits themselves don’t give anything away in terms of the scope of the work, there are addresses listed for the following venues:
- Fantasmic – Performance Island
- Fantasmic – Development Trailer
- Theater of the Stars
- Indiana Jones Theater
Again, the scope of the work is not listed as the contractor is Disney’s own in-house construction company – Buena Vista Construction Company – and they never provide a useful description of the work beyond general construction terms.
That said, it looks like Disney is slowly turning their attention back to live entertainment at Walt Disney World. So far, Disney has only announced the return of Festival of the Lion King later this summer. There have been no other official announcements of any other live entertainment or nighttime shows returning…yet.
