Well, here we are again. Less than a year after the project was finished, crews are applying a deep royal blue touch-up to what appears to be fading Cinderella Castle turrets. Hard to miss when walking down Main Street USA, the left (west) turrets are a deeper shade of blue than the other turrets on Cinderella Castle and the flanking projection towers – indicating that the paint is fading on the turrets. Here’s a detailed look at the work taking place.

The castle turrets were specifically painted purple(ish) during the repainting. I’m glad they’re going back to blue!
I really hope this means the weird purple shimmer isn’t coming back! The one picture of the upcoming decoration overlay piece with the gold ribbon wrapping around the spire had solid blue supports to match the spire and the purple would probably not match with it anyways.
