Disney World Relaxes Face Mask Rule a Day Early

Yesterday, we brought you the news that Disney would begin allowing guests to take off their face masks for physically distanced, outdoor photos. The policy was set to take effect on April 8th, but it looks like it has gone into effect a day early at Magic Kingdom.

While spending some time in front of Cinderella Castle, we noticed that Cast Members were no longer enforcing the active rule that you must wear a face mask while taking photos. Instead, Cast Members would encourage social distancing where necessary, but otherwise not intervene.

In fact, even PhotoPass Cast Members are informing guests that they can now take maskless photos. We exclusively reported yesterday that PhotoPass would be taking maskless photos.

Signage is still in place, but will likely be removed soon.
