Disney PhotoPass Will Take Photos of Maskless Guests Beginning April 8th

With the news that guests would be able to take their face coverings off for socially distanced, outdoor photos beginning April 8th, we wondered where that leaves PhotoPass in the process.

As frequent visitors to the Disney World theme parks, we often see guests take their masks off or pull them down beneath their chin for photos. While Cast Members often do their best to correct guests when they see such an infraction, there simply aren’t enough Cast Members to ensure blanket enforcement. That said, we’ve noticed that PhotoPass Cast Members have always ensured that guests were properly wearing face coverings when taking their photos.

After speaking with managers, BlogMickey.com has learned that Disney PhotoPass photographers will begin taking photos of maskless guests when the new policy takes effect on April 8th. Of course, this policy will only apply to outdoor, physically distanced PhotoPass locations. At this time, there are no changes to other policies like the one that prevents Cast Members from handling guest phones to take photos of them.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
