Disney continues their fairly rapid installation of the all-new “Points of Light” on Spaceship Earth. The Points of Light are exactly what they sound like – individual lights installed in the empty spaces between the Alucobond panels. When completed, these Points of Light will be part of a brand new nighttime package for Spaceship Earth. Disney has installed more than 50 Points of Light already, but we expect that there will be hundreds of Points of Light when the installation is completed later this year.
While the Points of Light were initially bundled into the announcement of the 50th Anniversary celebrations called the “Beacons of Magic”, they are a separate offering and will continue beyond the 50th anniversary celebrations as a permanent addition to Spaceship Earth.
