While visiting EPCOT last night, we noticed that a lot of the lighting around World Celebration was synchronized with the lighting on Spaceship Earth. In a May 2022 interview, Imagineer Zach Riddley said that Disney would have an astonishing 12,000 programmable LED fixtures in the World Celebration neighborhood.
Spaceship Earth itself has over 1,800 Points of Light, which means there are thousands and thousands of lights in other parts of World Celebration that can be programmed.
Here’s a look at some of the synchronized lighting that has been recently activated in World Celebration.
We can also see the same candy cane-style lighting can be found in Connections Cafe and a breezeway between Connections Cafe and Creations Shop.
Here’s a look at the lighting columns that are still behind construction walls in the center of the World Celebration Festival Gardens that are synchronized with other lighting in the area and Spaceship Earth.
Other lighting designs are synchronized with the same lighting fixtures.
