According to News 6, Universal Orlando will be relaxing their physical distancing from 6ft to 3ft beginning tomorrow, May 6th.
Based on guidance from government and local health officials, as of Thursday, May 6, we are implementing three feet of social distancing throughout our destination and are no longer conducting temperature checks. All other existing health and safety protocols will remain in place.
While we typically don’t report on Universal news, the move is significant to not only the theme park industry, but also to Walt Disney World just down the road.
As of publish time, Walt Disney World has not announced any changes to their physical distancing policies, but they did just announce that temperature checks will be removed later this month.
In a speculation article, we anticipated temperature checks to be removed and physical distancing to be reduced to 3ft at the Walt Disney World theme parks this summer.
