“Hurricane Proof” Decorations Fall Off of Cinderella Castle Ahead of 50th Anniversary

They were supposed to be able to “handle any hurricane“, but a piece of the Cinderella Castle decorations meant to wow guests during the 50th anniversary has already fallen off of the castle.

It’s unknown what caused a gem to fall off of the castle, but Orlando has had a few thunderstorms in recent days. No hurricanes reported.

Also, with the moat filled with water, it’s unlikely that Disney removed the gem on purpose.

Here’s a look at the missing gem, which has fallen off of the west side of Cinderella Castle.

Here’s a look at what the gem is supposed to look like.

All of the decorations are installed with the only exception being the 50th Anniversary shield that will cover the clock as seen in the concept art below.

    1. The castle is hurricane proof, not the temporary decorations. Do you really need ridiculous click bait comments for someone to read your article? Have a bit of integrity.
