Cinderella Castle’s Slight Tan Following Removal of 50th Anniversary Spire Decorations

|

The first pieces of spire decoration have been removed from Cinderella Castle following the conclusion of the 50th Anniversary festivities. The final pieces of wall decoration have also been removed since our last visit. As you might expect, the spires have a slight tan following the removal, but there doesn’t appear to be any damage that a quick bit of paint can’t fix! Here’s a look at Cinderella Castle from our visit to Magic Kingdom this afternoon.

As a reminder, here’s a look at some currently installed decor pieces to show how the decorations were essentially a cap on top of the spires, only making contact where necessary to remain secure. The tan is a result of the Central Florida sun beating down on the exposed part of the roof while some of the roof remained behind the cap.
