Just days after our last look at the annual Splash Mountain refurbishment at Magic Kingdom, we have a new look at the work taking place to spruce up the attraction. As a reminder, the work taking place is NOT part of the previously announced Princess and the Frog retheming that was announced almost two years ago.
Down at the end of Frontierland, a scaffolding forest makes obvious the part of the attraction that is being refurbished.
In our previous look at the work, we saw that Disney had stripped the hillside of theming as they reshaped some of the rockwork. Now, faux foliage has been reinstalled as Disney continues to refresh the facade.
The Splash Mountain refurbishment is currently scheduled to be completed on February 10th, reopening to guests on the 11th.
