As work continues on the transformation of Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, demolition is underway on the Laughin’ Place playground that was under the Frontierland train station.
While visiting Magic Kingdom recently, we were able to see the demolition from the Frontierland train station, which has consistently offered a good vantage point into the exterior queue work taking place. For a look inside the attraction, check out our earlier article.

Then Disney took down or covered up signage that said “Laughin’ Place”, which is synonymous with the problematic Song of the South movie.
Now, Disney World is demolishing the structure altogether. It’s not immediately clear if the play area will be rebuilt or not, but with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure nearly certainly carrying over the 40″ height requirement, it’s not a bad idea to have a spot for little ones to play.
