Magic Kingdom guests planning a December trip now have more than a refurbishment calendar entry to go on. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has operating hours posted for its first day back, a good sign the reopening date is going to stick. The ride closes November 2nd for its first-ever refurbishment, so guests have fewer than two weeks left to ride before the break.
Reopening Day Hours and a Party Night
On the attraction page, December 18th now lists operating hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm, followed by a special ticketed event from 6:30pm to 12:00am. That evening event is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and December 18th is one of 13 December party dates this year. Day guests have until 6:00pm to ride on reopening day.
Party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00pm, which gives them a shot at the ride before 6:00pm too.
One detail hasn’t caught up yet. The banner at the bottom of the page still lists a general December 2026 reopening, with no specific date. Posted hours are the more specific signal, and we expect that the ride will reopen that day, or sooner.
Before and After the Refurbishment
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure stays open through November 1st, its last day before the refurbishment. Its exit gift shop, Tiana’s Bayou General, closes alongside the ride, while Critter Co-Op stays open.
This is the ride’s first extended closure since it opened in 2024. Its Audio-Animatronics and effects have struggled at times. A six-and-a-half-week break gives crews some time to refresh the attraction before the busiest stretch of the holiday season. With a December 18th return, Christmas week visitors can still plan on a trip through the bayou.
