With Magical Express now dead and gone, Disney World guests are turning to third-party alternatives such as Mears Connect. In the original launch of the service, Mears Connect promised no more than a 20 minute wait from check in to departure, but they have rarely been able to deliver on that promise and have removed it from the website. Shout out to Touring Plans for catching the change to the website:
It’s not uncommon for guests to wait twice as long as promised and it’s clear that Mears understood they couldn’t deliver on a timely departure.
Disney ended the Magical Express airport service at the end of 2021.

Disney will regret ending the Magical Express Service. My recomended alternative is to rent a car. By renting a car, one has options to doing things other than Disney including shopping and eating out at a much less expense, you are not limited to activities and services within the Disney Bubble. This includes staying at hotels off Disney property.
The Magical Express Service was second to none. With luggage tickets and airline check in service, it made going to WDW a real pleasure. But the magic is gone, and there are alternatives that provide options.
