Starting this August, the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. gift shop will be closing for refurbishment as part of the TRON Lightcycle Run construction. We recently reported on a permit for the gift shop that indicates that there is still plenty of work to be done in terms of the ongoing retheming.
Due to the closure of the gift shop, which also serves as the exit to Space Mountain, a temporary exit for Space Mountain will be implemented. A reopening date for the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. gift shop has not been identified.
Disney has previously utilized a temporary exit for Space Mountain when the moving walkway was being removed. Here’s a look back at that experience.
Here’s a look at the “new” Space Mountain exit that was implemented back in November 2018. It is expected that the Space Mountain exit will remain the same up until the gift shop, which is expected to get a refresh.
