After a week of soft openings, the Star Wars Launch Bay character meet and greet is officially back on the schedule. That means that you can once again meet Darth Vader at Disney World – at least, during normal 9am to 5pm working hours. The Star Wars Launch Bay character meet and greet soft opened last Sunday, but today marks the official return of the offering that has been closed since March 2020.
Despite Disney World initially saying that character meet and greets would be part of Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane, Disney did not go forward with those plans, and all three characters are only available to meet via standby line. Wait times are not posted in the My Disney Experience app, but the meet and greets can be popular as the day wears on. Posted wait times are typically between 30-60 minutes with Chewbacca being the most popular meet. When we visited this morning, there was no PhotoPass, and the Automated PhotoPass boxes were not working.
Darth Vader Meet and Greet
Guests looking to meet with Darth Vader will quickly find themselves being interrogated about the whereabouts of rebel spies and plans.
Chewbacca Meet and Greet
Chewbacca will greet you with a hug and show you around the rebel base that has been set up. He might even ask you about any First Order activity in the area before you part ways.
BB-8 Meet and Greet
BB-8 will enthusiastically greet you with clicks and whistles that are often translated for you by the character attendant. The articulated droid is a fun meet and greet and reminds us of the old Baby Groot meet and greet that used to be available at Hollywood Studios.

Do they still have the Visa card member line? If so is it back to Darth Vader meet again too or whatever it has been recently as a magic shot type photo?
It was still a Magic Shot today
