After weeks of Sonny Eclipse (presumably) sitting behind curtains, a rather odd turn of events has taken place at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. While walking around Magic Kingdom today we decided to check in on the refurbishment and see if Sonny Eclipse had returned, but instead, we found that the Club Tinsel setup was reinstalled after being taken down earlier this month. We’re not sure what this means for Sonny Eclipse in the long term, but in the short term, it’s not looking good. Here’s a look at the returned Club Tinsel, which was not in use during the lunch hour when we stopped by today.

The “Club Tinsel” set is actually located on the lower level of the Sonny Eclipse stage. When this set is visible the Sonny animatronic is actually houses in the dome above the stage. The stage moves up, revealing the Club Tinsel set, and hiding Sonny in the attic, so to speak.
