As we continue to monitor the TRON Lightcycle Run Virtual Queue situation at Magic Kingdom, a recent change was made to the Boarding Group presentation within the My Disney Experience app (h/t Scott Gustin). As you can see in the screenshot below, Disney World has removed the estimated return window when viewing the Boarding Group status. Here’s a before/after of the change:
Disney World has not announced the change, much less a reason for it, but we have previously criticized the wild shifts in callback time that can happen, which make it tough to plan your day. We have hoped that Disney World would address the frustrations of a strict return window for TRON Lightcycle Run, but it looks like they have simply removed information from the app instead. We will continue to monitor the changes to the TRON Lightcycle Run Virtual Queue to help you ride Disney World’s newest attraction. No functional changes to how the Virtual Queue works have occurred.
