During the 10:30pm performance of Fantasmic last night, a malfunction caused the towering Maleficent dragon to become engulfed in flames and the show stopped. Videos spread throughout Twitter of the dragon as the fire started up around its head and then eventually engulfed the entire figure.

According to a report from ABC News, there were no injuries reported, and nearby areas were evacuated out of caution. Disneyland officials say that they are investigating the cause of the fire. During a typical production, there are pyrotechnics loaded into the head of the dragon that explode as the dragon is defeated.

Multiple videos posted to social media showed how the fire spread from the head to the entire dragon.

Currently, there are showtimes for Fantasmic tonight at Disneyland, but its possible that Disney will have to cancel showtimes as they continue to investigate what went wrong. It’s not immediately clear how much damage was caused by the fire.
