Good morning from Magic Kingdom and the opening day of TRON Lightcycle Run! This morning, we visited Magic Kingdom to check out the reimagined (and renamed) Tomorrowland Launch Depot, aka the Space Mountain gift shop – or rather, the former Space Mountain gift shop. This reimagined space used to be the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co., but is now being used to sell TRON Lightcycle Run merchandise and will be the TRON gift shop moving forward.
The shop isn’t open to all guests today due to anticipated high demand, but guests with a canceled TRON Identity Program reservation were given exclusive access to the shop, as we reported yesterday. This morning, we presented our original email confirmation for our canceled TRON Identity Program reservation and gained access to the Tomorrowland Launch Depot. It’s not clear how long the shop will be exclusive for guests with TRON Identity Program reservations, but we’d plan on it remaining this was for the next week, at least. Here’s a look around!
Space Mountain will eventually exit through this gift shop one day.
The delayed TRON Identity Program can be found at the back of the shop.
Merchandise Mobile Checkout is supported at the Tomorrowland Launch Depot, but a traditional checkout is also available at the front of the store.
