With unrestricted access to the Tomorrowland Launch Depot now available to all guests, we stopped by earlier today to see if Space Mountain had returned to utilizing the normal exit-into-the-gift-shop procedure or not. As it turns out, Disney is still utilizing the modified exit for Space Mountain, and doors to the Tomorrowland Launch Depot remain closed. According to managers we spoke with in the area, the plan is to keep using the modified exit for Space Mountain for now, but the normal exit could be restored later this month. Here’s a look at what we’re talking about.

Here’s a look at the closed doors that guests would normally walk through as they exit Space Mountain and enter the Tomorrowland Launch Depot.

Here’s a wider look at the Space Mountain exit, which will still dump into the middle of the gift shop.
