Morocco Pavilion Repainting Continues at EPCOT

Crews are continuing to repaint and refresh the facades of the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT following a rooftop refurbishment throughout the first half of the year. As you can see in our photos below, crews are now working on the Kutubiyya Mosque replica tower – a defining feature of the Morocco Pavilion. A more saturated northern-facing side of the tower reveals the recent overnight work being done to the facade whereas more faded bricks represent work yet to be done. Here’s a look around!

A different view shows the finished side on the left and the unfinished work on the right in the photo below, with a few saturated bricks highlighting the difference a new coat of paint can make.

Other sections of recently completed rooftop refurbishments are now color matched with the rest of the buildings, even if the difference in textures reveals that work was only done on the upper couple of feet of each building.

We expect work to continue through the summer as Disney continues to refresh the pavilion that it now owns outright after the operating participant that ran many of the offerings fell on hard times during the COVID-19 shutdowns.
