Stocks of The Walt Disney Company are down more than 3% today in late-morning trading, reaching a new 52-week low of $83.02 according to market data. If the stock doesn’t recover at at least $84.17 by the end of trading, it’ll be the lowest closing point for the stock since October 17, 2014 according to data from Yahoo Finance.
Even during the worst of the COVID-19 stock market slide, Disney stock didn’t close below $85.
The losses from Disney are outpacing the market as a whole which is down anywhere from 0.5% to 1.25% as of publish time. That said, other companies that Disney trades alongside such as Netflix are down more than 4.3% on the day.
