Exterior Refurbishment of Sun-Damaged Mars Continues at Mission: SPACE in EPCOT

Overnight work to refresh the planet Mars continues at Mission: SPACE in EPCOT. Seemingly the final piece of the puzzle for the Planetary Plaza refresh, Mars is slightly more complicated than a simple repaint like the other planets.

Crews appear to be working panel segment by panel segment, with many of the panels in various states of theming at the moment.

We’ll start with some more zoomed-out photos of the work to provide an idea of how far along the project is (or isn’t).

Changing the angle up a bit, we can get a better look at the work that is mainly focused on the top third of the Mars facade, and only half of that top third.

Here’s a view of the opposite side of Mars.

And here’s a look at the work as you approach the attraction entrance. Some of the more zoomed-in shots revealed the various states of progress that the refurbishment is in.
