Jungle Cruise Refurbishment End Date Announced

Walt Disney World has identified a reopening date for Jungle Cruise’s fall refurbishment at Magic Kingdom. As a reminder, the punny attraction will be closing on August 26th for what will turn out to be a nearly two-month refurbishment. According to the Walt Disney World attraction hours, Jungle Cruise will reopen on October 18th.

Disney World has not announced what work will take place during the downtime, but it is unlikely that any significant show scene changes are on the horizon. The attraction received live updates back in 2021 with set changes taking place during overnight hours, keeping the attraction open.

Instead, this refurbishment appears to be more structural in nature. Back in April, we covered the filing of a Notice of Commencement permit for underwater work at the Jungle Cruise attraction. Underwater Engineering Services Inc. is tapped to do the work, but the permit only lists “general construction” as the scope.
