Disney World Reveals Tamer, Less Rowdy Concept Art for Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge at Magic Kingdom

At today’s Disney Experiences panel at the D23 Brazil expo, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro presented Disney’s vision for the future of its theme parks and cruise line division. The announcements were mostly reheated from the D23 Expo this past August, but there were some new details shared, including a new vision for the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge coming to Magic Kingdom.

New Concept Art for Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge

Before we take a look at the new concept art, here’s a look back at the concept art that was presented at the D23 Expo in August. The concept art shows a dark, lounge that looks to be exactly what you’d expect from a Pirates of the Caribbean lounge.

This new concept art below shows a less rowdy, more tame vision for a second room within the lounge. It’s important to note that Disney said that the concept art showed off “another new space” within the lounge that will have “some special surprises that Pirates fans will love”.

The Pirates of the Caribbean lounge will open next year at Magic Kingdom, and work is already underway to bring the bar to life.
